Seymour Levov, known as “Swede,” seems to have everything an American success story can promise: he is a former high school sports star, he marries a beauty queen, inherits a thriving glove business, and builds a comfortable life in the New Jersey countryside. But the seeming perfection of his world begins to unravel when his daughter Merry embraces radical political ideas. As the unrest of the 1960s grows, the Levovs’ ideal life is shattered by violence and suspicion.
