In 1916, the feisty English botanist Dr. Lily Houghton travels to the Amazon in search of a legendary tree said to possess magical healing powers. Joined by her refined brother MacGregor and the roguish riverboat captain Frank Wolff, she ventures deep into the jungle, where deadly wildlife, traps set by a rival expedition, and supernatural dangers threaten their mission.
