A woman and her twin sons live in a forest house that they believe protects them from evil. To go outside, they must stay tied to the house with ropes so they never lose contact with it, or the evil may touch them and take over their minds. The children obediently follow their mother’s rules, but one boy soon begins to doubt whether the evil is real.
