In the early 1960s, Henry Ford II decides to reshape his company’s image and move toward more modern cars. After an unsuccessful attempt to buy Ferrari, the Americans decide to challenge the Italians on the racetrack and win the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. To build a suitable machine, the company hires designer Carroll Shelby, who insists on working with the brilliant but difficult driver Ken Miles. Together they set out to develop the Ford GT40, a sports car capable of ending Ferrari’s winning streak.
