After their father dies, step-siblings Andy and Piper enter the foster care system and are placed with Laura, an apparently caring foster mother living in a secluded house in the woods. Andy, who is used to protecting his visually impaired sister, grows suspicious of Laura and her strange son. He soon realizes that Laura’s kindness may conceal a dangerous obsession with bringing someone back from the dead.
