At the height of World War II, in 1942, Canadian intelligence officer Max Vatan meets French Resistance agent Marianne Beauséjour in Casablanca during a deadly mission. After they escape to England and marry, their relationship is tested when Max is told that Marianne may be an enemy spy. Torn between love and duty, he must uncover the truth before it destroys them both.
