1954. Ray Kroc is a traveling salesman whose hustling lifestyle and dissatisfaction with the drive-in restaurant experience lead him to the McDonald brothers' restaurant in San Bernardino, California. Impressed by their streamlined system of quality, consistency, speed, and a limited menu, he becomes their head of franchising. But as Kroc’s ambitions grow and the franchise begins to make money, a conflict emerges between him and the brothers over the future of “their” business.
