Julieta (Emma Suarez) is a middle-aged woman living in Madrid with her boyfriend Lorenzo. Both are going to move to Portugal when she casually runs into Bea, former best friend of her daughter Antia, who reveals that Antia is living in Switzerland, married and with three children. Heartbroken after 12 years of total absence from her daughter, Julieta cancels the trip and returns to her former building, hoping that Antia will someday write to her. Alone with her thoughts, Julieta begins to write down her memories and confront the painful events that shaped her life, from her youth and her love for Xoan to the tragedy that drove her apart from Antia.
