Miami cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett learn from the news that their late captain Conrad Howard is being accused of corruption and ties to drug cartels. Refusing to believe it, they receive a video message Howard recorded before his death, asking them to find his killers and clear his name. But soon the hunt turns on Burnett and Lowrey themselves, forcing the two men to go on the run. Now they must uncover the truth while trying to stay alive.
