In 1241, the Mongol horde led by Khan Burunda moves west, destroying everything in its path and taking captives. When the army reaches the Carpathian Mountains, it halts at the foot of the peaks, and local hunters secretly infiltrate the camp to free the prisoners. Furious, Burunda decides to take revenge by destroying the mountain villages. A traitor among the locals reveals a secret mountain pass, but the hunters led by Zakhar Berkut have their own plan to stop the enemy once and for all.
